Adhyayan (Learn)

Ms Ruth Nirmal - Project Co-ordinator for Adyayan & Sahaya

Ruth Nirmal

Coordinator

Many children from slum communities are forced to drop out of school due to poverty, loss of a parent’s job, domestic violence, alcoholic parents, or traumatic family situations. Without intervention, these children often end up on the streets—becoming rag pickers, gang members, or falling into substance abuse.

Through Adhyayan, Nirikshea identifies such children who have had long breaks in schooling (sometimes 6–8 years, some having attended only Grade 1). With the help of professional teachers, we run a bridge-school program to cover essential subjects like Math, English, and Science.

The program is divided into one-year or two-year modules, depending on the child’s ability, and helps them reintegrate into formal education. Adhyayan gives forgotten children a second chance at learning and life.

srushti

Srushti (Creation)

Mrs Elizabeth Renyl - Project Co-ordinator for Srushti & Vriddhi

Elizabeth Renyl

Coordinator

Srushti is a learning program designed to support students who have discontinued their higher studies but still have the desire to complete their education. The program aims to provide opportunities, guidance, and resources to those who wish to continue their academic journey but lack the financial means or support to do so.

Vriddhi (Progress)

Mrs Elizabeth Renyl - Project Co-ordinator for Srushti & Vriddhi

Elizabeth Renyl

Coordinator

For many slum children, finishing high school is only half the battle—the next hurdle is the high cost of college or university fees. This is where Vriddhi steps in.

Through this program, Nirikshea raises funds to provide full or partial scholarships (up to 80%) to deserving students. Covering three-year degree courses with two semesters each year, Vriddhi ensures that financial constraints don’t crush dreams.

We are proud to share that our very first batch of scholarship students have graduated from university and are now working in good companies—becoming role models in their families and communities.

Vriddhi transforms education into progress, breaking barriers for the next generation.

Sahaya (Help)

Ms Ruth Nirmal - Project Co-ordinator for Adyayan & Sahaya

Ruth Nirmal

Coordinator

Behind every child’s struggle with academics lies a deeper story. Many of our students come from broken homes, abuse, and trauma. To truly help them succeed, education must be paired with healing.

Through Sahaya, our professional counselors assess each child’s mental health, behavior patterns, anger issues, and social skills. Based on this, tailored counseling sessions are provided to help them process their pain, heal emotionally, and grow stronger.

We have witnessed incredible transformations—students once withdrawn or aggressive are now confident, hopeful, and thriving. Sahaya offers healing and hope, proving that emotional well-being is the foundation for success.

V Care

Mrs. Hannah Rajesh - Co-ordinator V-Care

Hannah Rajesh

Coordinator

V Care embodies Nirikshea’s spirit of unconditional love and compassion. This program extends beyond students to help parents, communities, and even other social organizations.

Through V Care, we provide groceries, medical support, financial aid, and resources for educational institutions. We also collaborate with other NGOs and networks that share our vision of uplifting humanity.

V Care reminds us that when we care beyond ourselves, communities grow stronger together.

Ahara (Nourishment)

Mrs Sunitha Joy Devraj - Co-Founder

Sunitha Devraj

Coordinator

Many children come to Nirikshea without eating a single meal that day. Some survive on just one meal daily at home due to severe poverty. Hunger makes it nearly impossible for them to concentrate or learn.

Through Ahara, we aim to provide nutritious, wholesome meals—either breakfast or lunch—designed by professional dietitians. Each meal fuels both body and mind, helping children focus better and grow healthier.

The cost of this project is ₹1,500 per student per month, and we currently serve 50 students. Ahara nourishes not just the stomach, but the dreams of children who deserve a fair chance at life.
