Born out of compassion, Nirikshea (which means Hope) began with a single purpose: to uplift the poor, marginalized and backward communities living in the slums of Bengaluru, Karnataka. We do this by providing education for children as a means to escape poverty.
Our vision has always been clear—to break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty that traps generations of families. Our mission is to create educational projects that bring transformation in children’s lives, and in turn, spark change within their families and communities.
Since our humble beginnings, we have impacted the lives of more than 700 children. Many of them were the first in their families to attend school. Today, some have completed high school and university, and secured good jobs in reputed companies. What inspires us most is seeing them give back—supporting their siblings’ education and helping their families step out of poverty.
This is the new cycle we are creating: where hope replaces despair, education replaces ignorance, and opportunity replaces poverty.
This is why Nirikshea exists— to bring hope, education, and transformation.

Nirikshea - A Home of Hope
We at Nirikshea understand the ethos of compassion and commitment, working with heart and purpose to uplift every child who walks through our doors. If you share the same passion we have for children consider volunteering with us!
Local initiatives are often underestimated for their small scale, yet they create lasting change in the lives of children. Explore our program initiatives below.
